Team
Teri Hofmann, CPA, CA
Principal
Teri has been practicing as a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA, CA) since 2009. She received her Bachelor of Commerce (Co-op) from Memorial University in 2005. Her career started at a large firm in Toronto, where she took on a variety of different roles within the field while continuing to pursue her education.
Throughout her career, Teri has found herself drawn to the people side of the business. In 2010, she returned home to Newfoundland with the intent of shifting her focus toward smaller firms and more personal interactions.
She joined Clarified Professional Corporation in 2016 and, in 2020, became the sole owner of the firm. In 2021, Clarified Professional Corporation was renamed Beacon Accounting Professional Corporation.
With over 15 years of experience in public practice, Teri has long been a passionate advocate for her clients, tackling the full spectrum of accounting and tax issues on their behalf. No matter how big or small the client or the issue, she is committed to providing thoughtful and reliable guidance.
Courtney Bonnington
Staff Accountant
Courtney received her Diploma in Business Management Accounting from College of the North Atlantic in 2019. She is currently completing her Bachelor of Business Administration with Memorial University, with the goal of completing the CPA program.
Courtney joined Beacon Accounting in 2021 and works on accounting engagements and tax preparation. Courtney has a solid knowledge base, having worked with public firms as a bookkeeper. Her experience includes monthly bookkeeping, payroll, year-end preparations, job costing and HST filings. She is highly proficient in accounting softwares, such as QuickBooks Online, QuickBooks Desktop, Simply Accounting and CaseWare.
Courtney looks forward to providing exceptional service to clients, and ensuring their needs are met in a timely manner.
Ian Hofmann
Staff Accountant
Ian holds a bachelor’s degree from York University and a master’s jointly from York University and Toronto Metropolitan University (formerly Ryerson University). He is currently a CPA candidate, having passed the CFE.
Ian joined Beacon Accounting in 2023 from working in industry in a variety of finance and internal audit roles. His experience includes monthly bookkeeping, payroll, billing, accounts payable, accounts receivable, as well as compliance and health and safety audits. He has strong experience with accounting software such as Simply Accounting, SAP, Microsoft Dynamics and CaseWare. His focus at Beacon is accounting engagements and tax preparation.
Ian is focused on providing clients with a friendly and efficient experience while providing them excellent value in meeting their accounting needs.
Angela Bradbury
Senior Bookkeeper
Angela has a diploma in Business Administration – Accounting from College of the North Atlantic and over 15 years of experience in accounting and bookkeeping. She specializes in monthly bookkeeping, payroll, tax filings, financial reporting, and year-end preparations.
Throughout her career, Angela has found a passion for helping small- to medium-sized businesses manage their finances and ensuring they meet all financial, payroll, and tax requirements. She recognizes the importance of providing a service that clients can trust, so that they can worry less about their finances and focus on growing and maintaining their business.
Angela joined Beacon Accounting in 2024 as Senior Bookkeeper, where she focuses on providing full-cycle bookkeeping services for clients. She is highly proficient in accounting software such as QuickBooks Online, QuickBooks Desktop, and Sage Accounting.
Angela looks forward to working with clients to provide high-quality service, and making sure clients’ needs are met in a timely and efficient manner.
Oluwatobi (Tobi) Falegan
Staff Accountant
Tobi holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Obafemi Awolowo University, Nigeria, and a Postgraduate degree in Business Administration from Memorial University. He is an Associate Chartered Accountant with the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN) and is currently a CPA candidate in Canada. He has experience in financial reporting, auditing, payroll systems, and accounting softwares.
